Western blot of purified anti-p120 Catenin antibody (clone 2B12) (lanes 1 & 2) and isotype-matched IgG1 control (lanes 3 & 4). Lane 1, 3: Molecular weight marker; Lane 2, 4: 20 µg of mouse lung lysate. The blots were incubated with 5 µg/mL of the clone 2B12 or mouse IgG1 overnight at 4°C, followed by incubation with HRP labeled goat anti-mouse IgG (Cat. No. 405306). Enhanced chemiluminescence was used as the detection system.

Description

p120/Catenin delta-1 (CTNND1) is a membrane protein that binds to cadherins and participates in signal transduction.  It is the prototypic member of a growing subfamily of Armadillo-domain proteins found at cell-cell junctions and in nuclei.  Known to bind specifically to presenilin 1, it regulates the maintenance of dendrites and dendritic spines in mature cortex.
