Description

CD154, also known as CD40L, TNFSF5, T-BAM, and gp39, is a 32-39kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein member of the TNF superfamily expressed on activated T cells. CD154 interacts as a costimulatory molecule with CD40 on B cells to induce B cell activation, resulting in proliferation, immunoglobulin production, and Ig Isotype switching. CD40L also may regulate T cell cytokine production.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per million cells in 100 µL staining volume or 5 µL per 100 µL of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
