Brain-specific proteoglycan in the aggrecan family (brevican), also known as brain-enriched hyaluronan-binding protein (BEHAB), is a brain chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan specifically expressed in the central nervous system. It plays a role in development and formation of the brain extracellular matrix and may be involved in malignancy of brain tumor cells.

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 5.0 - 10 µg/mL. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded, a concentration range of 1.0 - 10 µg/mL is suggested. For immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue sections, a concentration range of 1.0 - 10 µg/mL is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
