Total cell lysates (15 µg protein) from Raw264.7 (lane 1) and Jurkat cells (lane 2) were resolved by electrophoresis (4-12% Bis-Tris gel), transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with 2 µg/mL (1:250 dilution) of purified anti-Cdk2 antibody, clone AN4.3 (upper panel). Proteins were visualized by chemiluminescence detection (Cat. No. 426303) using 1:3000 diluted anti-mouse-IgG secondary antibody conjugated to HRP for purified anti-Cdk2 antibody or 1:10000 diluted Direct-Blot™ HRP anti-β-actin antibody, clone W16197A (lower panel). Lane M: Molecular weight ladder.

Description

Cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (Cdk2), also known as cell division protein kinase 2, is an enzyme involved in cell cycle control. Binding of Cdk2 to Cyclin E in G1 phase is required for G1 to S phase transition, while binding of Cdk2 to Cyclin A is required to progress through the S phase. Clone AN4.3 does not recognize other CDKs.
